1. Who We Are

DopeGeo is operated by ShutUpAndBookIt ("we," "us," or "our"). The game is accessible at shutupandbookit.com/dopegeo and is presented at dopegeo.com. You can reach us at dopegeoapp@gmail.com.

2. What Information We Collect

We collect the following information when you play DopeGeo:

• Google account information — if you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from Google. Sign-in is optional. You can play without an account.
• Your chosen traveler name and avatar — the name and icon you select during onboarding.
• Game scores and results — your scores are saved to our database to power the leaderboard and your Travel Passport.
• Country stamps — the countries you answer correctly are saved to your passport.
• Challenge results — if you play or create a head-to-head challenge, the result is recorded.
• Challenge badges — badges earned from completing branded or community challenges are stored in your profile.

We do not collect payment information, location data, device identifiers, or browsing history outside of DopeGeo.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Display your scores on the leaderboard
• Save your Travel Passport and country stamps
• Run head-to-head challenges between players
• Show your badges and challenge history in your profile
• Improve the game and fix bugs

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to operating DopeGeo.

4. Data Storage

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a cloud database platform. Data is stored on servers in the United States. Supabase's privacy policy is available at supabase.com/privacy.

5. Google Sign-In

We use Google OAuth for authentication. When you sign in with Google, Google's privacy policy also applies. You can review it at policies.google.com/privacy. We only request access to your basic profile information (name, email, and photo). We do not access your Gmail, Google Drive, calendar, or any other Google services.

6. Leaderboard and Public Data

Your traveler name, avatar, and scores are visible to other players on the public leaderboard. If you do not want your name on the leaderboard, you can play without signing in — guest play is fully supported and your scores will not be saved or displayed publicly.

7. Children's Privacy

DopeGeo is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at dopegeoapp@gmail.com and we will delete it promptly.

8. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to operate the game. If you would like your data deleted, email us at dopegeoapp@gmail.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request" and we will remove your account and associated data within 30 days.

9. Cookies

DopeGeo itself does not use tracking cookies. The ShutUpAndBookIt blog that hosts the game may use cookies for analytics and advertising purposes — please refer to the ShutUpAndBookIt privacy policy for details.

10. Third-Party Links

The game contains a link to ShutUpAndBookIt. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party websites. We encourage you to read their privacy policies.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post any changes on this page with an updated date at the top. Continued use of DopeGeo after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
